DIY-Christmas-wreath

Last week I was on a Christmas workshop at a good friend of mine, and I made this eucalyptus  Christmas wreath for myself. I think simple green wreaths are very beautiful, and this one smells heavenly too!

To make this one I used two bouquets of eucalyptus from my local flower shop (Mester Grønn), and a green wire to tie them together in a circle. Very simple and done in maximum 20 min.

Tip: Small similar wreaths like this one is perfect around the napkins on your Christmas table setting as well. They will dry out over time, but if you make them the day before and keep them in water they will stay fresh.

Smelters mathus

I have to say that these lovely throws made from alpaca fibers were such a pleasant surprise to come across. Even though the snow has yet to arrive here where I live, it has gotten colder and I welcome everything that can keep me warm. But being a design lover I don´t mind that the product has both function and style, and with these throws I get the best of both.

If you are a regular reader of my blog you have probably picked up that I like to highlight products that you can enjoy for years, having a classic design and made of high quality, and I feel these throws fit these criteria perfectly. The quality feeling is great, and they are warm – really warm. The alpaca wool is actually several times warmer than sheep wool, so if you easily freeze during winter this might be something for you – oh and it does not itch!

Another thing worth pointing out is that these throws are designed by the Norwegian company “Norsk Alpakka” and produced at their facility in Manchester (UK), all done with exceptional care and focus on animal welfare. A rarity today, unfortunately.

So if this sounds like something you would like yourself, I can share with you that since the producer Norsk Alpakka actually just launched these throws to the market, they are now offering an introduction price for these throws of 1799 NOK (about €190). The regular price being 1999 NOK (about €211). They are also offering free shipping in Norway, and a low fee for international orders – and all orders are shipped in a stylish box so if you are looking for a Christmas gift this has all you need 🙂

An old classic gets some warmth from a potential new classic 😉

My dog Conrad was jumping with joy when I unpacked the throws and has found his own favorite.

The throws come in six different colors / designs, and I have to say it is impossible picking a favorite myself. You can also see all throws on their webshop.

Here is a friendly reminder for everyone who is looking for the perfect Christmas gift that Mapiful is still offering all my readers a $10 discount on your order by using the voucher code: “stylizimo“. But you need to be quick, because the voucher code expires this Sunday (the 13th of December).

I really love the posters that I have gotten myself and the personal touch that it gives since you actually create it. If you would like to see some more photos how they look, you can also check out my previous post.

Have a great weekend!

Christmas in the kitchen

Since most of the house is a mess these days, because of a couple of renovation projects going on, it´s not very Christmassy here yet. I have started a little in the kitchen though… A star and a couple of trees together with some flowers does the trick for now.

Have you decorated your home for Christmas yet?
