Memory Lane“Memory Lane”

I´m happy to reveal what I have been using a lot of my time on lately; The talented illustrator Mona Stenseth Erlandsen (Emmeselle.no) and I have made a series of 8 butterfly illustrations in limited edition of only 100 pieces. All signed and numbered silk screens, lovingly made by hand. The collection is called STYLIZIMO by Emmeselle.

The series is about those we have lost, but who forever will live in our heart. About the gratitude we have for the time we had together – and for all the good memories.

I chose to use butterflies because these means something very special for me. After my grandmother died, butterflies have appeared on the most strange places, and I can´t help getting the feeling that it is my grandmother keeping an eye on me and making sure I´m fine.

The collection will be available at emmeselle.no from 28th of January.

Here is a video of the process each and every illustrations have been through.

 “Black on black”

Black kitchens are very hot these days and I´m very happy that we chose the RIVA black oak kitchen from JKE Design when we renovated the kitchen last year. It really compliments the house, and I love the contrast.

A black kitchen can be decorated in many ways, and will look great in most styles. In collaboration with JKE Design I have therefore styled three different looks in our kitchen to inspire you on ways to decorate it.

JKE Design are having a campaign these days, so if you are in need of a new kitchen you should visit one of their stores and check it out!

Which look do you like the most?

Flowers

I have had a lot of styling and photo assignments this week, and now that they are over, I´m enjoying the flowers I have used in some of them. Many favourites gathered in one bouquet.

Happy Sunday everyone!

My mailbox is full of news for 2016, and I have say that we can expect a lot of nice products this year. One of my favorite so far is this stunning wallpaper called Vinterskog from Sandberg Wallpaper. The minimalist and fresh pattern has been interpreted by the talented stylist, photographer, designer and blogger Annaleena Leino-Karlsson.

The pattern pays tribute to the serene Scandinavian nature, focusing on its unique shapes and low-key colors. So in front of this wallpaper you can leave the city far behind and find tranquillity in the Nordic light and the simplicity expressed in the Scandinavian winter landscape. Sounds perfect to me 😉

Do you like it?

Domo design shelf_shop

After renovating some of the rooms downstairs the need of new furniture came along with the empty new rooms. I have had this sideboard from Domo Design on my wishlist for a long time, and now that I have it available in Stylizimo Shop I ordered one home for the hallway downstairs. With it´s clean lines and timeless design I see myself having this furniture for a long time. I love when I find furniture like that!
