Gold Dust

One year ago we moved into our new house, and a lot of renovation have happened since then. Here is a little summery on our projects since last year:

LIVING ROOM

We started with the living room and loft right after we moved in. Find more info on what we did and see the BEFORE photos from the living room here.

BEDROOM

The bedroom was our second project, and the BEFORE & AFTER pictures says it all I suppose. This room really needed a makeover. We are very happy with how it turned out.

KITCHEN+DINING AREA

This spring we renovated the kitchen and we went for a black oak kitchen to match the house. I admit that it´s not the easiest to keep clean, but sometimes the aesthetic have to go before practical 😉 It´s boring to play safe all the time, right? Well, we are very happy with the look!

You can see more photos of the kitchen, and the BEFORE photos here.

HALLWAY

The hallway almost looked like a sauna with all its wooden panels, and it became a huge difference when we renovated this room. See the BEFORE photo + more photos of the new hallway here.

OUTDOORS:

We have also been working a lot on the outdoors. Starting by painting the house in the color “Dempet Sort” ), building a new and bigger terrace and doing a lot of upgrade in the garden. Also very happy with our DIY flower box wall.

Shadows

Shadows can make the most magical moments sometimes, and I just had to capture this one in the bedroom from the other day… I placed my big Hoya plant in the window as I thought it might like being in the sun, and after a while this shadow happened on the wall. A beautiful little magic moment…

Conrad ( my dog ) apparently wanted to make the moment even better, so he lay down posing for his mom. Such a clever dog! 🙂

Remember to take a minute or two to enjoy all the magic around us. It´s everywhere!

Ildhane_Nedre Foss

Anderssen & Voll just launched “Nedre Foss” – a new Norwegian label for interior products. And here you see their first product “Ildhane“! Nice, huh?

The cast iron candleholder “Ildhane” came to life while they were doing the interior of the restaurant and brewery Nedre Foss Gård ( great place btw! ), which was completed in May this year.

First snow

I woke up to beautiful white surroundings today. The first snow is here and the Christmas feeling came along with it. There is always something magical with the first snow I think…
