Walk-in-closet_shoes

Our walk-in-closet is coming together, and the fun part of “moving in” is finally here! Most of the solutions in the room are custom made by us, so we could keep it on a low budget but also give it a more personal touch.

As for my high heels I bought several of the “BYGEL” (which are meant for kitchen towels), that I spray painted in gold for a more glamorous look. For only 100 NOK I got a new shoe rack that I´m very pleased with. (I already had the gold paint, but I think it was only 75 NOK, so it´s still cheap if you want it in gold.)

For clothes, handbags etc. we bought white shelves at the hardware store that we placed under and above the hanger rail. I´ll show you more of this when I´m done with the whole room.

Lofoten_Fargerike

There is no secret that I love the Color of the Year 2014 by Fargerike , “blue green”, so during the holidays I had to stop by the paint shop and buy a new color for my office ( which used to be black ). In only a few hours I had a fresh new wall that brightens up the room that I spend so much time in – a quick and very affordable makeover!

It´s nice to have a fresh start of the year and a hint of color was actually nice in this otherwise colorless room. With fresh flowers in the office as well it feels like spring is already here, even though it´s wintery outside.

One thing usually leads to another, so along with the new color, we added one more desk so we both can sit in the same office (we are planning on building a walk-in-closet in the other office). We also bought some new cabinets for storage, so we can start the year being organized.

What do you think? Do you like the color?

You can see a few more photos of the office here.

Basement living room

After the styling/photo shoot I did for the new website Samsarah Interiør ( which I also made), I had to keep the beautiful Beni Ouarain rug. It looked absolutely perfect in our second living room!

I love mixing styles as I think it gives a room more personality, and Moroccan meeting industrial works perfectly well I think. What do you think? Do yo like it?

Anyway, you have to check out sweet Samira´s new website and look at her lovely products. She have really nice prices as well, as she sells directly to the customer after getting the products from Morocco.

Walk in closet

A walk-in-closet is every woman´s dream, right? Filled with beautiful shoes, bags and nice clothes! Well, I guess I have to work on the shoes, bags, and clothes, but a walk-in-closet is about to be a reality in this house. Not only as a corner, like I used to have, but now we are going to use the whole room! Oh, joy! I will be planning it well, so it gets practical, fabulous and affordable.

First out is finding inspiration on Stylizimo.com, where we actually have an own category called Closet / Walk-in-closet.

What does your dream walk-in-closet look like? Do you already have one? Maybe you could share it on Stylizimo.com?

A new year, and a new office!

Although it has been a relaxing holiday, I have still had a few projects in the house. Sitting still a whole week, does´t really suit me *smile*, so one of my projects is a new office space. I have painted the black wall that I had in my previous office in a new fresh color(!) and I´ve added more cabinets for all of my stuff, so I can be more organized in the new year! I have actually cleared all rooms this Christmas and got rid of a lot of stuff that I don´t use – it feels SO great!

I´m ready for a new beginning!

PS! I´ll show you more photos of the office when the light is better. It´s hopeless to take pictures these days… so dark.
