Stelton_EM77 lavendel

Spring is finally upon us, and with that comes lovely birds singing in the trees, less snow and more sun. My absolute favorite time of the year.

I am also happy to say that it is not only nature that is providing us with beautiful things this season. Stelton is releasing a new version of their EM77 vacuum jug in a lovely lavender color, that suits the spring wonderfully!

I have always liked the clean design of the EM77, and with the new color, the vacuum jug is really something to bring out when you have guests. I know for sure that I will fill this up with some hot chocolate and find myself a nice spot in the spring sun. Most likely I´ll manage to empty it myself, so guests are optional…haha.

If you would like to see more pictures of the the new EM77 or other great Stelton products, you can check out their Instagram account here.

I wish you all a great Easter my dear readers!

Bunny Napkin

It´s time for Easter and Easter table settings, and I have this very cute napkin bunny that I want to share with you. They are actually very easy to make, and it´s possible to use both cloth and paper napkins ( a long as they are square ). The bunny napkins are perfect for both you Easter breakfast or your dinner table settings, and I guarantee that your guests will be impressed and give you something to talk about at the table 🙂

You can find the tutorial I´ve used here on YouTube. ( The video is a bit fast, so pause it from time to time to keep up.)

My desk

I spend a lot of time searching for nice second-hand stuff on Finn.no. Over the years I´ve actually found three AJ Lamps from Louis Poulsen, two of these leather Series 7 chair by Fritz Hansen ( a real bargain! ), and 4 Ant chairs for the kitchen, also by Fritz Hansen and designed by Arne Jacobsen ( yes, I´m a big AJ fan, but I guess you have noticed that by now.. haha ). Our kitchen table and coffee table is also second-hand finds, I have just painted them to make them fit in. My latest find is this beautiful old and charming desk, and I couldn´t be happier! Mixing old furniture with new design make an interesting contrast and it gives the home more personality, I think.

I´ve decided to move my office out in the hallway downstairs ( as I´m making a painting studio in my previous office ), and since the room is quite plain, I thought a statement piece like this would look nice. Now I just need something for the wall to make it complete in my new office space. I´m thinking a gallery of B&W photography and some of the silk-screens from the Stylizimo by Emmeselle collection would look great. Maybe you have some suggestions on where to find some nice photo art?

Nagel stake

The weather is amazing these days and it finally seems like spring is saying hello. We still have a lot of snow in the garden, so there is no sign of any of the flower bulbs that I planted last fall. I have therefore cheated by buying some Snowdrops in the flower shop to celebrate spring. Small white beauties that bring a lot of joy – so worth it!

Stylizimo_ELLE Decoration

If you follow me on Instagram you might remember that I told you I had a visit by ELLE Decoration Norway a little while back? Well, now you can find the article they made of our kitchen in their latest issue. It´s so much fun seeing it on paper, and I think it turned out very well!

So what did the editor Live Brekke and I do while Birgit Fauske was taking the photographs? Drinking coffee and eating tapas of course 🙂 The perfect Friday, if you ask me!
