Earlier this year, the talented illustrator Mona Stenseth Erlandsen (Emmeselle.no) and I made a series of 8 butterfly illustrations in limited edition of only 100 pieces. All signed and numbered silk screens, lovingly made by hand. The result is STYLIZIMO by Emmeselle.

The series is about those we have lost, but who forever will live in our heart. About the gratitude we have for the time we had together – and for all the good memories. I chose to use butterflies because these means something very special for me. After my grandmother died, butterflies have appeared on the most strange places, and I can´t help getting the feeling that it is my grandmother keeping an eye on me and making sure I´m fine.

Here are some photos we took while making the silk screens. It was a long but very fun process.

Mona in action! This is very hard work. I tried a few times myself as you can see in the first photo, and I got exhausted after just a few prints : )

All 800 silk screens have either a black stamp or a embossing stamp. They are also signed and numbered.

Re-use in the guestroom

The guest room is starting to fall into place, and finally it is starting to look nice and cosy in there. One of the silkscreen prints from the Stylizimo by Emmeselle collection is now up on the wall but also this wonderful soft fur-blanket from Re-use. I don´t know if you are familiar with Re-use.no, but each of their product has its own special story and has always an element of recycling. This blanket for example is made from leftovers from the jacket industry in Italy, so everything from the fur is used. Most importantly though; all the lamb meat is eaten, and the they have gone freely outside before they were killed, so the animals have had a good life. That makes me love this product even more!

Re-use´s products are made by talented craftsmen, and I can only imagine how much work it is to make a blanket like this with all those tiny leftovers. And with all the small fur-pieces sewn together with real craftsmanship, the blanket looks beautiful on both sides as you can see.

And, yes, it is as soft as it looks like! Truly amazing..

Ready for the weekend

I just couldn´t resist these beautiful white lilacs in the flowershop today. This is one of my absolute favorite flower and I can´t wait until I get my own blooming in the garden. The smell is just heavenly!

Det er sikkert mange av dere inkl. meg som tenker på uteplassen om dagen? Det er så deilig at våren endelig er her og at man kan nyte dagene på terrassen og i hagen igjen. Jeg kjenner jeg nesten sprekker av glede over det herlige tiden vi har foran oss nå!

1. Tenk så koselig å sitte foran Fire Globe ildstedet fra Eva Solo om kveldene. Denne ønsker jeg meg!
2. Noen ganger kan det rett og slett bli for varmt i solen, og da er det godt å ha en parasoll. Catania parasoll synes jeg var veldig fin, og er nå også på tilbud.
3. For å sette stemningen på kveldene er en lys-lenke som denne Party Light helt klart tingen.
4. Sittegruppe da? Luxembourg stol fra Fermob synes jeg er veldig tøffe. Du finner bord som hører til her.
5. Ja, også må man jo ha puter. Jeg liker så godt disse stripete putene fra House Doctor.
6. Spill hører med på sommeren, og jeg elsker dette Akiko botsja settet fra Skagerak som kommer i en lekker teak eske.
7. Jeg må innrømme at vanlige hageslanger ikke er så sexy, men hageslangen fra Garden Glory derimot – et smykke helt klart!
8. Massevis av blomster på terrassen/balkongen er et must spør du meg. Flower Pot fra Hay kan jo være en idé om du trenger potter?
9. Et avlastningsbord er gull verdt når det kommer gjester. Alfred rullbord fra Fermob kommer i mange forskjellige farger og er kjempetøft!
10. Et pledd eller flere kommer alltid godt med ute. Likte så godt fargen på dette ullpleddet fra Elvang.
