When we were in Copenhagen last week we had a delicious lunch at the Scandinavian largest hotel Bella Sky Comwell. We also got a grand tour around in the hotel seeing some of the 812 unique rooms, all of which are decorated with designer furniture and equipped with individual ceiling to floor windows in varying trapezoidal forms. This hotel is really my cup of tea, and I would looove to stay here some day!

Even the numbers outside each room was unique and pretty. They had really thought of every little detail.

The good news is that they have designed an own floor for the women. The floor has been named ‘Bella Donna’, and the rooms have been furnished and laid out to meet the needs and wishes of the hotel’s female guests. Who would say no to a marble desk and chair from Hay or a pink Vitra Slow Chair? Best of all; my favorite lamp designed by Arne Jacobsen and produced by Louis Poulsen is in every room as well.

Beautiful, right? Have you stayed here before?
What kind of hotel to you prefer to stay in when travelling?

I´ve been asked if I could share more of the thoughts I have when I´m decorating my home. Usually I don´t think that much when I decorate, I´am just trying to create areas that pleases my eye, but subconsciously I guess I have a few things that I think about…

Let´s start with how much I like to work with contrasts. You´ll find a lot of contrasts in my home, whether it´s black and white, matte against glossy, rough towards elegant. Contrasts make things stand out, and it makes a home look more interesting and dynamic. My office is a good example on how I use contrasts…

Here I have used:
  • The floor is glossy and the wall is totally matte.
  •  Black and white colors.
  • Notice materials like plexiglass against rough ceramic.

From time to time I´m also writing blogposts for the company Tilbords, and today I thought I´d share a link to the latest post I made for them since some of you might need inspiration on how you can set the table for a (big) boy. You´ll find more photos and links on how to create the napkin at Tilbords website.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Verket Interiør had a big garden event yesterday, and their shop was full of garden inspiration and lovely outdoor furniture. There is no doubt that we are looking towards a colorful summer this year!

My favorite from yesterday are the furniture from Sundays. Sundays are a 100% Norwegian manufacturer of contemporary outdoor furniture that will withstand any weather, and that is very necessary here in Norway. I love it´s simple design as well..
The Acapulco chair is a gorgeous 50’s classic from Mexico. Perfect for both outside and inside.

So what are your outdoor plans for this summer? Are you planning a colorful garden? Do you see anything you like?

I´m back at the office after a wonderful trip with VisitDenmark to Copenhagen. I´m full of impressions, and I´m already looking forward to go back and explore even more of this charming city. As I love Danish design, it has been a real adventure to get a closer look and learn more about some of their design during our tour in Copenhagen. If you have been following my instagram, you have probably seen some of the places we visited. You´ll find my pictures under Stylizimoblog, or pictures from all the bloggers that went under the hashtag: #bloggturkøbenhavn

One of the places we went to that I really enjoyed was the Royal Smushi Café. You have to go there if you´re ever in town! It´s a lovely place and the food was both beautiful and very delicious.

My yummy lunch!

Have you been here before? Do you have any other great lunch places to recommend in Copenhagen?
