This weekend we had some friends over for the traditional Norwegian Christmas dish “Pinnekjøtt” (smoked and salted lamb ribs), and since it was the 1st day of Advent this weekend as well, I allowed myself to make the table setting a bit Christmassy.
I wanted to use a linen tablecloth for a more cosy feeling, but unfortunately I didn’t have one that was long enough, so I used linen napkins instead. To make it Christmassy I decorated with Christmas flowers and walnuts ( the walnuts were actually meant to be used as place cards, but I couldn’t find my white marker). I also placed a some juniper on each napkin. Very simple, but with lots of candles lit when it got dark, it looked very cosy.

Very pretty! So fresh but still a hint of Christmas! Can you tell me what kind of plant/tree is on the background in the first pic? A fir? So simple, but cute! 🙂
Thank you! I´m not sure what the tree is called i´m afraid…
