In two days I´m going to New York on a little vacation. I have never been there before, so I am really looking forward to experience the city – I know I will have a blast!
I do love to take pictures when I´m on holiday, and I have a feeling that there will be a lot of things to capture in NY. But the thing is that I´m not the kind of person that wants to look like a tourist and I dislike to carry the regular photo bag with me. Normally, I put my camera in my handbag but I guess that´s not very smart with an expensive camera, is it? Fortunately I came across the fabulous photo bags on the website Fotobag.no, and yesterday I received a lovely new bag just in time for my trip. The bag looks like a regular handbag but with added protection for my camera, so now I can walk around the streets of NY looking stylish even though I have my photo gear with me – Genius if you ask me!
You should definitely take a look at their website as they have lots of goodies for your photo gear. I bet you want to look stylish as well whenever you are bringing your camera with you *smile*.
If you have any good recommendations/tips for my NY trip, I would love it if you could share them with me. Great places to eat, things to see beside the regular stuff, shopping tips etc. would be much appreciated.

I also hate to look like a touriste with my camera around my neck. I use to try to wear a quite large scarf so I can hide the camera under it! But maybe one of those bags … Sorry, never been in the big apple so I can’t tell you any good stuff … //Emelie
Klem, Pernille
Such lovely bag…..such fine idea.
Fine evening
Kram C
Heldige du som skal til NY! Drømmer også om å reise dit!:)
En eller annen gang…:)
Knallfin fotoveske!!
You will be so fashionable in NY city! Enjoy you trip!
Greta
Have a nice trip!
I hope you have a lovely trip to NYC. I live in Montreal but have visited New York quite a few times and I love heading to “Au Pain Quotidien” for breakfast. They have fresh organic, yummy delights and you can pick up a warm loaf of bread on your way out. Their coffee is delightful. Do check it out–there are quite a few all over the city. 🙂
God tur!
God tur til New York…en fantastisk by!
Heldiggris!
Have a wonderful safe trip! Yes, I’ve been to NY but it’s something I would only do once! I prefer the countryside in Upstate NY…it is delightful.
Hope you get the time to see the Metropolitan Museum of Art (think that’s the title LOL. That’s a great bag for your camera….looks super cool. Happy shopping! Happy Eating! Happy Travelling!
Ohhh… love that bag!
We visited NYC exactly a year ago. You can see some of the stuff we did on our blog here… (http://robandheatherwilliams.blogspot.com/2010/09/bite-out-of-big-apple_23.html) We met my brother-in-law who lives there and knows all the great spots. We loved the pizza place called Grimaldi’s. We also loved the Food on Foot Tour. The Brooklyn Bridge was pretty cool too. Can’t wait to see what you do. Trevligt resa!
That bag is amazing! PS I LOVE your style!
Inspirerende! 🙂
New York, New York er fab! Hihi. Vet det finnes sjapper i Greenwich, men sikkert over alt ellers.
Ellers: Broadway show, Brooklyn bridge, Crate and Barrell-butikken rett ved Soho, Staten Island ferry gratis forbi Ellis Island, leie sykkel og sykle langs pirene, MoMa, frokost/lunsj i Central Park…
Kos deg på tur!
Thank you so much for your travelling tips 🙂 YAY!
Have a blast in NYC Nina 🙂
BTW may I know which camera you are using?
I love NYC! Have fun 😉
i hope you have a great trip! i want that bag!
Bare hyggelig! Jeg gir villig vekk tips. 🙂
Sharnika: I´m using a Canon 60D. I love it 🙂
Fantastisk by!!! God tur. Var au pair på Long Island i ett år, så en time med tog føltes veldig nærme! Deilig bare å spasere rundt å knipse bilder. Masse rare mennesker….SOHO, China Town, Little Italy, Grenwich Village, Central Park….
i had the luck to visit NYC in may this year – it was such a wonderful trip – i’ll never forget… so many awsome places to see – don’t miss brooklyn bridge and rockefeller center “top of the rock” observation deck – you will have a breathtaking view over the city including the empire state building (try to go there early in the morning) … in soho have a break at “dean and deluca” (sushi is delicious there)… have a nice time in this gorgeous city, birgit
oooh, I heart this bag. I’m a photographer and want one!
