I´m probably not the only one that thinks that the “TV-wall” is a bit complicated. I have been searching for a TV bench for a long time now, and I can´t seem to find one that I like for a reasonable price and at the same time goes well with our other furniture. Therefore I ended up buying a used TV bench for 500NOK($90) on Finn.no, and I gave it a little makeover.

The TV bench was originally in oak, so the color was kind of yellowish. I gave it two coats of driftwood stain so it became a bit greyer, and I painted the top in light grey. Afterwords I gave the top some light sanding so I could see the wood shine trough the paint, and I replaced the knobs with new ones to give it the look that I wanted.

So what do you think? Do you like my little makeover?

How is your TV wall? Are you happy with it?
Please share some pictures on Stylizimo.com if you want. I will publish some more pictures of my TV wall there as well in the next following days. I just realized that I haven´t taken any pictures of the bench from the front.

I try to enjoy every second of the summer, and what could be better than an Iced mocha in the sun on your new terrace with a good magazine. This is relaxation as its best!

Wish you all a sunny and wonderful day!
xo, Nina

My “brother in law” sent me a link to the website “Scandinavian Surface” yesterday. Ever heard of them? I haven´t, and I was very happy when I discovered these fantastic wallpapers on their website.

Do you see the moose?
Even though I´m not a big fan of winter, I LOVE this last wallpaper.

In addition to wallpaper they also design: PanelPieces, MiniPieces and bags.

I have to say that it´s very tempting to try out one of these wallpapers. Do you see any you like?
You can see the rest of their collection here.

It´s time to invite you into my new home office, and since it´s a new office it also has a new look. My last home office had a touch of purple and I loved the way that it looked, but I needed a change so this time I have decorated it in black and white with hints of wood…

I have painted the floor and the walls crispy white, because I wanted a room with lots of light.
The white desk is one of my latest DIY, and I made it using the same method as the dining table I made for our apartment. But this time I painted it in white using a cloth instead of a brush so I can see the wood through the paint. The legs are from Ikea.

For storage I use some of my old wooden crates. They work great as shelves, and I like how the wood softens the black & white room.
Over the shelves I´ve made a little moodboard/inspiration board so I can get inspired when I work. I attached the pictures etc. with pins, a wire and different kinds of tape. This way it is easy to change the look of it.

(The black lamp is from my fiancés grandparents – I love the retro look it has!)

If you like to see some of the other home offices I´ve had, you can see them here (including 10 tips for your home office!), here, here and here.

I have uploaded a lot of pictures of my new home office on Stylizimo.com, if you like to see more and where everything is from.

I wish you an inspiring day!

Simple, airy & serene are the keywords for a summery table setting. The only thing you actually need to make a table look summery and delightful, is to add some wild flowers from your latest walk or some beautiful garden flowers…

I like to create a pretty table when we´re having dinner, but I do like to make it more casual on weekdays. But napkins and fresh flowers are always a must!

A salad adds color to the table as well…

Normally I use a lot more colors on my table setting during the summer, but at the moment I´m in love with WHITE and grey – they give me the feeling of living in a summerhouse by the sea, and what can be better than that? *smile*

Enjoy GOOD and delightful moments…
