Bathrooms are very expensive to renovate, and since the bathroom connected to our bedroom wasn´t all that bad with its white tiles, we chose to give the room a little makeover until we can afford to renovate it in the future.
As I have told you many times before; painting can do wonders! All I did was to paint all the wood on the cabinets black ( Lady Supreme Finish, Matt 9938 Dempet Sort ), and laminate counter top I painted with lime paint and a sealer ( both from Pure & Original ) for a concrete and more modern look.
I also painted the doors ( one to the bedroom, and one to the sauna ) in the same black color.
On the white plastic shelves in the top cabinets, I used marble foil contact paper from Panduro to make them more stylish. A very easy upgrade if you have a surface you don´t like.
So what do you think about my makeover? It´s not that bad considering that this is a bathroom from 1986, huh?

Absolutely cool, the marble texture looks very real, what did you do about the ceiling, is it still wood? Or was it painted too?
Definitely a huge difference, love it!! Well done 🙂
Lovely makeover! I love the paint, wish we had jotun lady here!
you are genius :)))
The subtle colour change, dramatically changes the feel of the room and I love it x

Incredible! I would never have thought that this was not new and modern designed bathroom furniture. It’s amazing how some paint can make such a difference. Also I find it inspiring to hear the discussion of trying to work with what we have as opposed to buying new. Both for affordability and environment. Thank you for posting!
Beautiful make over! And what about the ceiling — did you paint that too, or did you keep it a natural wood finish? Thank you!
Very nice makeover! Paint works just miracles.
Wow. It looks great.
Did you consider changing the sinks, thouhg?
Other than them, it’s perfect.
I hope you won’t waste money on renovating that space in a while 🙂
Thank you! I would love to get some new sinks, but that would cost a lot, so I´ll rather wait until we renovate the whole bathroom..
