CUSTOM PLANTER BOXES
Little by little our custom planter boxes out on our terrace is getting filled with flowers, and now that the sun is back, I can finally enjoy them too.
When I was planning the new terrace I wanted to include two big custom planter boxes on each side of the stairs up to the higher level, so we could “soften” up all the black with some trees and flowers. But also enjoy the beauty and scent they bring along. What I did´t think of when having these boxes built though, was all the soil that we would need to fill up these big boxes with. Although we have big rocks, garden waste etc. in the bottom of each box, it´s still a big area to fill – something to remember before you get started ; )
As it is the end of the season, I found some flowers the other day that was 30% off. Perennial flowers can be quite expensive, so it´s nice to find some on sale every now and then. This time I picked out some that has late blooming, so we can enjoy them on late summerdays like these..
We have made a long custom planter box in front of the terrace as well. You can read about that one HERE.
New in is the white Astrantia ( above ), Anemone japonica ( not any flowers yet, but it´s the high one in the picture underneath ) and the Hydragenia pan. Limelight in the photo at the bottom.
The pink ones in the photo underneath is a Veronica Spicata Rotfuchs, I also have a couple of pink Hydragenias. Now I´m looking for something in pale pink that would fit in with the rest. Any ideas?
Wish you all a nice day from our summery terrace!

Gaura lindheimeri is a beautiful tall elegant perennial with a long blooming time, comes in white or pink. My favorite in my garden.
What a beauty! I have to find some of those – thank you so much for the tip! 🙂

Hei:)
