As you all probably know by now; I love changes! Usually I use something I already have and move it somewhere else to make a new environment. We also bought both black and white covers for the couch last year, so we would have the opportunity to change the look on the couch as well.
Last weekend I was home alone, and that´s when it usually happens a lot of changes 😉 I was´t happy with the sofa situation in the TV area, so I replaced it with a couple of modules from this one instead. You can see how that turned out here and here ( you can see the BEFORE look here. ) This modular sofa got a bit smaller, but that means more space in the living room, and as you can see I have also replaced the coffee table with a smaller one for more space ( I had this in the TV area before ).
Another thing I have changed is the picture wall behind the couch. I replaced some of the prints/photos with with my own paintings (that are available at byninaholst.com ) to make it more personalized.
So the first photo shows how it looks right now.
This was before I took away the modules, table and changed the picture wall.
And here you see a photo with the black woollen cover as I also like very much.
You can see how this living room looked BEFORE we started the renovation a year ago here.
Your interior is incredible beautifull!
Thank you so much, Evita! 😉
All three are beautiful ! Where have you bought the white covers ? I have forgot who sells them. Ikeas own covers are not so white…
All of them are really nice and the living room is welcoming in all the cases. A bit simple, a bit crowdy, a nice combination.
Thank you for the inspiration! Love your picture walls. Have the same sofa as white, but looks so good with black covers too – maybe I need to do some shopping 🙂
I’ve to be honest: I prefer the first version, with the dark covers. The actual setting looks, for my taste, really too empty and kind of sterile due of all that white. I understand that since days have become shorter we search for more light but the room of the third picture fill both the place and my inside feelings. Something that I think looking to your home pictures is that they often appear like a shop mirror… Ok, it’s nice to show up clear and tidy places (I would do of course the same if I run an interior blog), but this looks very more commercial than a real home. I don’t want to offend you with this comment and if you feel so I ask you sorry in advance.
It looks lovely Nina, very sophisticated and peaceful! The harmony beams from this photo. The wood tones add so much warmth and the little bird on the side table looks adorable 🙂 I love new additions to your picture wall and the pine print is to die for! May I ask where is it from?
Hugs,
Marta 🙂
Thank you so much, Marta! 🙂

Tusen takk 🙂
Your home is so beautiful and a real Inspiration. I am looking every day if you have posted something new about your home. May I ask where is your sofa from and I am very curious to see your dressing solution in your bedroom:) thanks for your answer in advance.
I love your blog. You are such an inspiration!! Do you mind sharing what specific pieces you have from the Ikea Soderhamn collection? I’m thinking of getting a few pieces to design my own sofa and lounge layout with the Soderhamn modules.
Hei! Veldig fint! Hvor har du kjøpt bilde/plakat som har en slags trapp på seg? Likte det utrolig godt.
