Finding the perfect nightstand can be difficult sometimes. There are a lot to choose from, but to be honest I don´t think there are so many nice ones out there. Therefore I thought; do we need to use a nightstand as a nightstand? With that in mind a lot of options came up, and here I have 4 ideas for you…
If you want more of a simple look, you can use a stool or a chair like this. Here I have used an antique stool from China, that I´ve bought at Bolina this summer. I love how the wooden hue adds warmth to the cold black and white.
This one I showed you on Friday. Here you have lots of room for your books or whatever.. This Alex drawer unit is also intended for the office, but I really like how it looks in the bedroom as well. My favorite!
This unit from Kartell is actually used a lot as a nightstand, and you have probably seen it in a lot of interior magazines and blogs. Componibili modules have been in production for more than thirty years and have received much recognition for their pre-eminent and innovative design.
Another very affordable nightstand would be using magazines like I did this summer.
Many of you have asked me where my wonderful Cross Blanket is from. It´s from Pia Wallén, and I bought it at Story North.
What kind of nightstand do you have? And which one of these ideas above do you like the most?

These all look fantastic – for pure style I love the antique stool but for practicality and style I vote for your favourite! It’s wonderful to see how a simple piece of furniture and a few accessories can change the look of a space so easily!

I love the simplicity of the second with the texture that the wooden stool brings.
What a beautiful post. Nice to see how different nightstands can create another bedroom And not expensive at all, with the cabinets of Ikea. My favorite is the first picture, but maybe that’s also because my favorite chair is in it 🙂 Thanks!
Love,
Suus
Ha en fin dag!
Klem Lene
Lovely post! Nice to see the different nightstands… I love them all four. Have a good day!.
Greetings Martine.
Klem; Heidi
I love them all, but i prefer the third picture. Like your styling and i think the light wood makes the room very soft and cozy!!
Great post!
XO Miranda
Fine alternativer du viser! Jeg er veldig fornøyd med våre Componibili-nattbord. Enkle og greie.
My fave is the second one, with the stool. I think nightstands tend to have too much stuff on/in them, thus not helping with the relaxation and getting to sleep.
I have the Componibili, but I love the first one as well!

Nice pictures! I use the Lack wall shelf unit from Ikea as a night stand, it has my alarm clock, a pile of books and a wooden bowl for my jewelry. http://pinterest.com/pin/202239839486719271/
I love the one with the wooden stool! I am a fan of natural elements in decor 🙂
Finding the perfect night stand is so hard! I’ve been looking for one for ages, but they are all (in my opinion) a bit too big and bulky. I don’t need a lot of storage space next to my bed, just a simple stand would do just fine. It’s also hard to find one that is the perfect hight, not too tall or too short (low). My search continues! 🙂
So nice, Nina!!
I love 3rd -black & white- option!!! but all of them are so beautiful for a good nights!!!! 🙂

I like how you have styled them all – my favourite would have to be the rustic stool – though the least practical. I always have quite a few things on my nightstand – books, reading glasses, water glass…
Hi Nina!
I love the black wall! We are going to redecorate the bedroom, so i love you ideas! The third foto I love the most! I think the Alex drawer looks nice and I love the poster:)
have a nice day!

I love this post.
Not only there are lot’s of great ideas but also you show us that great interior decorating doesn’t have to be expensive at all.
Keep ‘m coming.
Bye
Lekkert!!
Tack för all inspiration!!
Lina
