There is something about the furniture from Danish designers and manufactures that I have loved for as long as I can remember. They have that little extra that it is hard to put the finger on. Maybe it is the attention to detail and quality, or maybe it is simply because it is beautiful to look at. One thing is for sure; it will look good in any home.
So when one of these Danish manufactures, Carl Hansen & Søn, reached out to me regarding what they call “Global Homes” I was happy to take part of it as I am also curious how these furniture look in homes all over the world.
With “Global Homes” Carl Hansen & Søn invites you to share how their design classics shape homes. Since their furniture is ending up in homes all over the world, they are curious to see how people live with the furniture and how they accentuate the personal expression in each home. A great idea I think!
So how do take part of this? It is actually quite simple as all you have to do is share your photos on Instagram and tag it with #globalhomes and @carlhansenandson. You can also check out Carl Hansen & Søn’s website carlhansen.com/globalhomes where they will share their favorite photos. So please join and share!
I should also add that there is a Wishbone chair(!) waiting for the lucky winner of the best photo.
With that said, here is my contribution to #globalhomes. I hope you like it, and I look forward to following the #globalhomes hashtag and to see how you live with your Carl Hansen & Søn furniture.
The classic you see in my photos is The Safari Chair by Kaare Klint, a chair that quickly became a favorite of my fiancé as the natural sitting position is stretched out and relaxed. At least, that is how he is sitting in it *smile*.

Det blir bilder av gangen etterhvert. Badene lar vente på seg…
