It´s always difficult to know what to decorate the walls with, and with “new” walls like we have now it´s also a bit scary to make holes in case you change your mind… That´s why I like picture ledges so much, because then I can easily change the look just by replacing the items.
Anyway, before we moved in I had already decided to make a wall where I could feature my favorite books. I wanted the books to really stand out, so I painted the ledges in the same color as the wall ( LADY Pure Color 9913 Matrix ) to make them blend in.
Another great way to decorate with books is on the coffee table. I usually have both books and magazines on my table as I find it very decorative, but it´s also an easy way to change the look or the color theme if you want to match something else.
If you need more ideas for the wall, you could check out my picture wall in the living room.

Love picture rails, they are the best, so versatile! One question, where did the black crow come from? Love him!
Yes, they are very smart. The bird is the “Eames House Bird” from Vitra: http://www.vitra.com/en-no/product/eames-house-bird
Big like! I can’t find really nice books, tips where to find Nina? Thanks
I buy most of my books at Amazon.com 🙂
Great idea, wall looks classical but with it`s own character . “Magic time”is my favorite.
