Visiting the Eames House is something that I highly recommend if you´re visiting LA. The house is designed by Charles and Ray Eames themselves, and since they moved into the house on Christmas Eve, 1949, they lived there for the rest of their lives.
Everything is kept as if they still lived there, and it´s amazing to see that this would actually work quite well today as well..
The garden and the flowers are also kept the way Ray liked to have it.
I have seen their home before in the film: Charles & Ray Eames: The Architect and the Painter, but seeing it in real life was much better of course. There is something quite magical about this place. I felt at home as soon as I entered their ground…, maybe it had something to do with their view over the pacific ocean or their swing in their charming garden *smile*.
