The Museum of Decorative Arts and Design

Wednesday July 18th, 2012

On Saturday we went to The Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Oslo. I haven´t been there in ages, and my interest in design has evolved pretty much since I was there last time, so it was very fun to have a look again.

Here you see “Scandinavian Design from 1945-55”. Do you see anything familiar?
In 2nd floor they have a permanent exhibition called Design and Crafts 1905–2005, and you can see and read about the different eras. It´s very interesting to learn more about its history.

There where a lot of familiar design icons to see, and one of them was the well known Panton Chair by Verner Panton. The chair is as cool now as it was in 1960 when it was designed, and that´s pretty amazing!

Have you been at The Museum of Decorative Arts and Design before?

Takk for tips!
